Original research

[edit]

This navbox risks becoming a junkyard of original research. Investigators did not say that Adam Lanza or Nicholas Prosper were inspired by Columbine. Please check what the sourcing says before adding examples. ♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 16:55, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

See the Columbine effect article, the threshold for this seems to just be that a perpetrator praised or researched Columbine effect. AFeatherlessBipehead (talk) 18:54, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Looking at this template might give the impression that literally dozens of mass shooters were influenced by Columbine. Simply looking at a few web pages does not constitute a copycat motive. I'm not happy about adding this poorly thought out template indiscriminately to articles.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 19:06, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Then feel free to remove the ones you disagree with. Militant.Insurgency (talk) 19:35, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
