Template:Whale
Smash!
You've been squished by a whale!
Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something really silly.
Template documentation | This page contains material that is considered humorous. Such material is not meant to be taken seriously. |
Usage
The above is a WikiWhale (Megaptera wikipediensis). It is used for the purpose of making major adjustments to clue levels in Wikipedians when a trout just doesn't cut it. Besides, who doesn't want to be squished? For experienced editors who have done something rather minor, use a Trout.
How to use
Place {{whale}} on the talk page of the user you wish to communicate with. This will produce the above message.
See also
- {{trout}} – the original full-size trout
- {{itrout}} – an inline icon sized trout
- {{minnow}} – a smaller version, though still centered and intrusive enough to send the message
- {{trout small}} – a more reasonably sized, less-intrusive, left-aligned trout, suitable for trout victims to use as a replacement after getting the message
- {{trout me}} – a small auto-trout icon for the top of your userpage
- {{self-trout}} – a {{facepalm}}-style trout for when you realize that you've done something silly yourself
- {{multitrout}} – for when multiple users need to be trouted
- {{self-whale}} – when a trout just isn't enough
- {{chips}} – a small side of chips to go with your fish
- If the target user doesn't like fish or chips, but you still think they did something silly, consider summoning the {{colonel}} instead
- {{OverdoneTrout}} – a response to use against those who overzealously use the {{trout}} template
- {{whalemeat}} – if the Wikiwhale is overzealously used too often
- {{puntrout}} - for puns that are (tr)out of this world
