This template is experimental. It will hide the table of contents (TOC) if it's inline, but allow the TOC if it's in the sidebar.
In the Vector 2022 skin, the TOC is in the sidebar, while in other skins (most notably Vector legacy (2010)) it is inline.
This is a more extreme version of {{Hide inline TOC}} (which is disabled as of July 2026). This template will disable any inline TOC, including {{Compact TOC}} – specifically any HTML with id="toc". However, for {{Compact TOC}} at least, this id can be disbled using |allowtoc=yes, e.g. if {{Compact TOC}} is being used inside a section.
