{{EGYPTIANDATE}} gives the date in the Egyptian calendar.
The given year is in the Nabonassar era (also known as Ptolemy's Canon), which was used by Ptolemy in the Almagest. The individual units of time are returned by {{EGYPTIANDATE/year}}, {{EGYPTIANDATE/month}}, and {{EGYPTIANDATE/day}}. The year, month and day can be given as parameters, but if not, they will default to the current date in UTC. The algorithms to derive it are taken from Calendrical Calculations by Nachum Dershowitz and Edward Reingold.
