Template:Cite EPE/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

This template is used to cite entries in the Encyclopaedia of Exoplanetary Systems (exoplanet.eu) database

  • |name= The name of the entry; returns the home page if blank.
  • |id= The numeric ID of the planet antry; returns an error if this is blank but the name is nonempty. (mandatory)
  • |access-date= The date at which you accessed the Extrasolar Planets Encyclopaedia database. (optional)
  • |mode= Controls certain punctuation and capitalization in the citation, values "cs1" or "cs2". (optional, default cs1?)
  • |postscript= Controls terminal punctuation for the citation in cs2 mode, does nothing in cs1 mode. (optional, default is no terminal punctuation in cs2 mode)

For example, to link to the EPE entry for Kepler-62f (ID: 1261), use:

  • {{Cite EPE|name=Kepler-62 f|id=1261|access-date=2023-11-03}}

gives

  • "The Extrasolar Planet Encyclopaedia — Kepler-62 f". Encyclopaedia of Exoplanetary Systems. Paris Observatory. Retrieved 2023-11-03.
