Austin actually said 'Hey girls, how would you like something red, hot, and throbbing between your legs?'

His sponsor was Honda motorcycles, and the favoured colour for their Step-Through 90cc models, aimed at young women riders, was red. I know Austin said this on air, because I heard him.

Another of his catch-phrases was 'Triple One Naughtable on your transistor portable,' 1110 kilocycles being then the broadcast frequency of 2UW.

I also heard him say 'I went surfing last weekend, nearly drowned. Had to be dragged out of the water by the balls. I'd like to thank Mr and Mrs Ball for all their help.'
