Overall: The article, hook, and picture all look great. Kudos to everyone who worked on this! The only problem is that ALT3 is too long (223 characters not counting the (pictured) part).   • Thanks @Edwardx: that gets it under the maximum character limit so all hooks are good to go. I also changed "the Second World War" to "World War II" just to trim a few more characters. BuySomeApples (talk) 23:25, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Did Heck design the SA logo, or not?

On the German wikipedia page it presently says no: "Heck is sometimes also credited with creating the badge of the Sturmabteilung (SA) , a combination of the Sieg and Mann runes , which, however, was a joint design by Hans Zöberlein and Max Zankl, also from 1929." I am hesitant to just import this as I haven't read that source nor is it necessarily trustworthy.

Another question unanswered by the current text: if Heck did not know about Sig rune when designing the SS logo, then how did it come to be that it became back-associated with the Sig rune. Was that immediately realized, which is what got it adopted? ~2026-34059-21 (talk) 15:45, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
