Shunyabindu dating
[edit]Subandhu's Vasavadatta is famous among mathematical circles because it is the first known source that uses "sunyabindu" for the dot used as a zero in ancient times. Almost all the math. references I have seen date it to about 625 AD. However, Maan Singh's analysis dates it to a couple of centuries earlier. This dating turns out to be quite important in the evolution of the zero concept. So, any more information on the date would be quite useful. Thanks. - Kautilya3 (talk) 01:37, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
