Fair use rationale for Image:University of Poitiers seal.gif

[edit]

Image:University of Poitiers seal.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merge Institut des Risques Industriels, Assurantiels et Financiers?

[edit]

Unsourced 14 years, proposed for deletion, and deprodded by Kvng, with a suggestion to merge, and here we are. Let's do it. Bearian (talk) 02:30, 29 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I'm fine with a merge, but think that it should be to a more specific page: École nationale supérieure d'ingénieurs de Poitiers. The French page suggested that the Institut des Risques Industriels, Assurantiels et Financiers ultimately merged to this grande école, which is itself part of the university. Klbrain (talk) 16:52, 11 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
This has been open for a while. It seems like there's no objection to a merge. Is there agreement on a target article? Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 18:33, 14 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Klbrain: I see that Institut des Risques Industriels, Assurantiels et Financiers is now called ENSAR (École nationale supérieure des sciences applicatives et du risque (ENSAR)) per French Wikipedia. I'm just not seeing the direct connection to the other entity you mentioned, École nationale supérieure d'ingénieurs de Poitiers. For this reason I would be inclined to redirect to University of Poitiers. Cielquiparle (talk) 16:34, 25 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
This article suggests that ENSAR is a second engineering school, distinct from the first engineering school at the University of Poitiers. In any case the above article has now been updated with references and renamed accordingly. Cielquiparle (talk) 11:23, 1 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
So, what are we thinking for this one? FaviFake (talk) 20:19, 23 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
As there's no longer interest in this merger and the discussion has gone inactive, I've removed the merger tags. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 04:41, 2 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
