Invalid Citations: Citation 1 "http://ubnt.com/press/ubiquiti-networks-announces-hi-power-superrange2-and-superrange5-mini-pci-modules" is no longer an active link and leads to a 404 page. There is an archive of this article at https://archive.is/wiaG but i'm not confident that's a valid reference. Citation 5 "http://goarticles.com/article/Wireless-Solutions-Ubiquiti/7118730/" is also no longer an active link. Citation 11 "http://libertybsd.net/ubiquiti/" no longer active as well. Done Replaced 1 and 11 with archive URLs. Not sure what can be done about 5 though. Stickee (talk) 23:57, 3 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Request posted by WP:COI editor Krisellelaran without additional explanation:

Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: UBNT) (“Ubiquiti”) is an American technology company started in 2005. Based in San Jose, California Ubiquiti manufactures wireless data communication products for enterprise and wireless broadband providers with a primary focus on under-served and emerging markets. On May 9, 2016, Ubiquiti Networks announced Ubiquiti Labs, a consumer electronics innovation laboratory based in Riga, Latvia. The first solution from Ubiquiti Labs is AmpliFi, an 802.11AC Wi-Fi Mesh Router for the home.  Not done Proposed changes are too promotional. The NASDAQ template should not be over-used, and it's already used once in the infobox, which is plenty. "Solution" is the textbook example of a WP:BUZZWORD, and is a terrible choice for a neutral encyclopedia. "Innovation laboratory" isn't much better. The lead is not the place for product announcements and press releases make poor sources. Find something more substantial and independent of the company. Ubiquiti's brands include EdgeMAX, airMAX & airFiber for Outdoor Wireless, UniFi, Bullet, NanoStation, NanoStation Loco, PicoStation, RouterStation and AmpliFi series of managed wired & wireless networking products, as well as sunMAX Grid-tied solar kits. Ubiquiti Labs first product line is AmpliFi, an 802.11AC Wi-Fi Mesh Router for the home.

Ubiquiti's first product line was its "Super Range" mini-PCI radio card series. The SR2 and SR5 cards were adopted by original equipment manufacturers and wireless Internet service providers. Customers included Wireless Router Application Platform (WRAP), Soekris, and Mikrotik. This was followed by other wireless products, such as Freedom Frequency, the "Xtreme Range" and the PowerStation. The Xtreme Range cards operated on non-standard IEEE 802.11 bands, which reduced the impact of congestion in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Krisellelaran (talk • contribs) 03:07, 11 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request to update Ref 1

[edit]

Hi, I found a 2019 10-K for Ubiquiti Networks Inc + a 2020 10-K.

I'm not sure how to update the infobox with the correct information, so, I was wondering if someone else would be willing to do it?

Thanks. :-) CyanoTex (talk) 10:05, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

“manufactures” ?

[edit]

Really? I see no mention of any factories. The word needs to be replaced. Boscaswell talk 20:52, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hunterbrook as short seller

[edit]

I added the detail (already in the linked sources) that Hunterbrook is a short seller of Ubiquiti stock. That may or may not discredit their reporting, but it's probably good for our readers to have the full context. Jimbo Wales (talk) 12:57, 11 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

There was some discussion and advice to revert edits as my account was not extended confirmed yet, so initially I had reverted to jimmy wales edit but have consolidated edit (diff link). Please note that this section will be subject to Extended confirmed restriction in WP:RUSUKR

Created Level 2 heading - Russo-Ukrainian War

Reasoning -

  • The contents don't fall into the current level 2 "legal troubles", as they are observations and statements made by Russian State Media as well as independent investigators. The new headline maintains neutrality as it doesn't imply non-existent legal issues.
  • To date, there are no credibly reported lawsuits or legal troubles related to sanctions violations, war crimes or any other legal issues related to Ubiquti products being used in the conflict.
  • This follows a similar standard to Starlink, which has both a level 3 heading "Russo-Ukrainian War" and a separate article with similar naming schema (which this topic does not fit criteria for at this time).

Content Change

Reasoning -

  • These are in chronological order per Manual of Style.
  • The instances of Russian State Media such as WP:TASS, Russia-1 and Zvezda of course are not considered "reliable" but that "TASS is generally unreliable more broadly for facts, with the caveat that it is considered reliable for quotes of statements made by the Kremlin, the Russian State, and pro-Kremlin politicians" - which is the context of Ubiquiti products here - aka they aren't taking a position on the legality of the use of Ubiquiti in the Russian Army, simply that they are being used - and providing specifics on the units and locations that are using them.
  • The Hunterbrook statement will leave exactly as Jimmy Wales left it, as he has the final word on very contentious issues - so keep that they are a shortseller, but add sentence that Hunterbook alleges the use by the Russian army constitutes US Sanctions violations - as this allegation should be kept separate from more factual reports.
