[edit]

Article is good but could benefit from expansion of topics and adding more information and evidence to back up claims. There is a claim that says “Marcia Lynn Whicker popularized the term “toxic leader” in 1996” but does not provide any more evidence to back up that claim other than adding a citation for their book. Is there any other evidence supporting that claim? How did the author of this Wikipedia article know that this is when this term was popularized? I also believe that this article mainly focuses on toxic leaders that are actively abusive and are aiming to use their subordinates as stepping-stones for their own success. They mainly focus on people that are aggressive narcissists. This is not the only type of toxic leaders. I think it would be beneficial to add information about toxic leaders that are unaware that they are being abusive and are being toxic or abusive because they lack training or lack basic leadership skills. It would also be helpful to add sections of negative effects of toxic leadership and prevention strategies to minimize or eliminate effects of a toxic leader. This article has good bones and information but I think expansion would be very helpful! Hluthi2 (talk) 22:13, 8 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

This edit was reverted. The article is not neutral, it's about toxic leaders. Coral matters (talk) 15:25, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
