How should Sara's sibling be named throughout the article?

If she is always referred to as Desiree in all the plot summaries, it may arguably leave some readers confused at first until they read about "Slumber Party Sleep-In". On the other hand, it may be impolite to run with a transgender character's pre-transition identity in most contexts, thus articles like Melissa (novel) set a sort of precedent by going with a character's latest preferred in-universe identity. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 22:19, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
