Supposed five-octave range.

[edit]

The claim of a five-octave range is problematic. The only source cited is a bio on a fan site (possibly connected with Buckley's estate), which is not a reliable source.

Musicians familiar with what a five-octave range entails, will be justifiably skeptical. Any such claim should reference and specify the highest and lowest notes; for instance in specific recordings. It's been said that extraordinary claims require extraodinary claims require extraoridinary proof. I don't think that's Wikipedia's standard; merely ordinary proof would suffice. Such as itentifying and citing a specific verifiable low note and a specific verifiable high note, five octaves apart.

Just the claim in a fan biography is inadequate evidence, and warrants removal of the claim. 172.56.199.155 (talk) 19:38, 6 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Followup:I found a good secondart source, listinng the actual verifiable limits of Buckley's vocal range, I replaced the unsubstantiated claim from Buckley's estate with this verifiable claim. If you want to edit this article to claim a wider range, please provide evidence of speficig notes higher or lower than claimed in the citatation — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.199.155 (talk) 12:20, 7 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
