  • ... that the spirit Ti Jean, a one-legged cannibal highwayman, evokes colonial fear of maroons?

@Darth Stabro: Thank you for taking the time to review! I was under the impression that this sort of fictional description was more ok for mythology per WP:DYKFICTION - and my intent was that ...evokes colonial fear of maroons added some expert interpretation color, per Kieran M. Murphy. Do you have a suggestion for rewording the quoted phrase to make my intent clearer? Thanks again, chickenpox4dinner (talk · contribs · email) 23:02, 11 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Comment: I see no issues with the hook; even without explicitly mentioning it, it's clearly about mythology or folklore, and I agree with @Chickenpox4dinner: that "evokes colonial fear of maroons" also adds flavor beyond just plot summary. Darth Stabro, are you OK with CP4D's response, or do we need to ask for another reviewer? Time is short; this nomination has just timed out. Dclemens1971 (talk) 17:51, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you think it's obviously mythical, I'll defer. ~Darth StabroTalk • Contribs 20:11, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
