Did you know nomination

[edit]

  • ... that Thomas Duke is known for finding and photographing the locations of filming of famous films?
Created by Jishara (talk). Number of QPQs required: 1. Nominator has 37 past nominations.

  • New enough (submitted within 2 days of creation), long enough (2617 characters). Well sourced to online news and magazine sites – Cite Unseen counts 5 references as generally reliable with 2 as "no consensus" (both citing Business Insider, minimally, to verify specific facts). Neutral in tone overall though sounds a bit magazine-like which is understandable due to the subject matter. Earwig says copyvio unlikely with a similarity score of 9%; spot check indicates similar. Article looks tidy overall but main quibble is that film titles need to be capitalized, which is important since they are so central to this biography. Please see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (films). Another quibble is that there is an awful lot of repetition of "known for" throughout the article. Worth exploring alternative ways to word those sentences in a couple of places. QPQ is done. This leaves the hook. By far ALT1 is the better hook (and checks out). ALT0 sounds too generic and relies on the recurring phrase "known for". @Jishara: Just some tidying of the film titles please and possibly getting rid of a couple of "known fors" and I think we are good to go. • @Cielquiparle: added italics and reduced Known Fors. Let me know if there's anything else that needs to be fixed! Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 23:04, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Looks good. Let's roll with ALT1. Thanks for your work on the article. Cielquiparle (talk) 09:18, 13 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
