Uh...what does this non-profit do? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.178.85.129 (talk) 22:44, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Russian-language version of the page goes into more detail, and is (I hope) in no danger of being lost to notability challenges. It would be very good if someone bilingual could translate the Russian page.

The main focus of the Gorbachev Foundation is on a) historical memory of the glasnost period; and b) advocacy for civil society involvement in Russian society. A US analogy would be to the Carter Foundation, the Clinton Foundation, and the presidential libraries of other retired US presidents (still living or dead).

Better merge with main article on Gorbachev

[edit]

Gorbachev Foundation seems to non-functional or nothing is known about its functions within Russia and outside world. Why separate article? Better to merge with the main one on Gorbachev. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.92.37.243 (talk) 01:48, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

query: author please update facts on gorbachev foundation, as I read elsewhere Northeastern University (NOT Northwestern in Evanston, IL) is the new home of the foundation. It is a viable org with good intentions, that just needs to be taken in hand and perhaps Northeastern will be able to do it's founder and his daughter credit in honor of Raisa and all women around the world in solidarity. Expand and update please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.13.171.163 (talk) 21:23, 22 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
