#ReleaseTheWebbCut movement

[edit]

Hello!

A section titled #ReleaseTheWebbCut movement was recently added to the page. I'm not sure this content is notable enough to be included. However, if we determine that the topic is indeed notable enough, I'm going to hazard a guess that it needs to be drastically condensed.

@Darkwarriorblake, could we please get your thoughts? OrdinaryOtter(talk) 00:15, 4 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not the pinged, but I'd be inclined to vote for trimming it purely because of WP:NOTLIST. The paragraph itself is mostly fine; Shailene Woodley's name is misspelled, and it could use some further copyediting to improve the tone. The sources are reliable, so I don't think it should be removed entirely. Trimmed, though? Absolutely. GSK 01:00, 4 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I mean, the first two sources in the section don't mention #releasethewebbcut at all, googling #releasethewebbcut doesn't really turn up any coverage at all outside of social media, and the bulk of the text is just detailing deleted scenes, some with sources and some without. So, I would say it's poorly sourced and not able to back anything up, and a laundry list of deleted scenes isn't specifically notable outside of maybe things like, i think, Shailenne Woodley being in there? It's not a great section as it is and I'm not sure it could be meaningfully sourced to warrant its existence as its own subsection or as large as it is.
