I am Ted Sablay, the subject of this article. Disclosing per WP:COI. Proposing the following addition, with sources, for an uninvolved editor to review.
In September 2026, Sablay released his second solo album, State & Motion. The self-produced record features drummer Pete Thomas of Elvis Costello's Attractions and bassist Whynot Jansveld, with contributions from nearly a dozen guest musicians.[a][b] Glide Magazine premiered the album in full ahead of its September 25 release.[c] Americana Highways wrote that Sablay "suffers no sophomore slump," describing the album as a collection of upbeat rockers with "abundant hooks and ringing guitars."[a] The Las Vegas Review-Journal called it "a searching, big-hearted record."[b] Writing in Rock and Roll Globe, Ron Hart described the record as being "about the difference between bearing something and choosing something."[d]
Sablay has said the album originated at a December 2023 show opening for Chris Isaak, at which he debuted the song "Baby I Need You."[b]
