Why the French translations are linked from this article

Normally you would only show English and original Chinese, but as stated by the article no *complete* English translation exists. The French version is notable as it was presumably the basis of the 1940s Broadway play.

Chinese Wikisource, French translation at odds

I don’t know why that is, but from what little Chinese I know, the French version does not seem to be a translation thereof. Why is that? Is the French actually a translation of a different play with the same name? שונרא (talk) 11:58, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
