Species' name

IUCN (2010) and FishBase both list this species as Synodontis contractus. FishBase, in particular, lists S. contracta as a synonym and marks it as a "misspelling of the species' name that must not be used": Synonyms of Synodontis contractus Vinciguerra 1928
