We need a disambiguation page here. Mathiastck 17:46, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

With the exception of the cartoon character, all uses listed are spelt 'sync' rather than 'synch'. Perhaps the page should be renamed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.205.144.178 (talk) 17:14, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I was about to say the same exact thing... I agree with the above comment... 66.82.9.77 (talk) 22:54, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Agreement with sync being the predominant abbreviation, I couldn't find whether the difference is between Commonwealth English or American English --203.167.211.73 (talk) 21:52, 22 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vault-Tec and NSYNC are brand names. in contrast, tech and synch are real words.

and until it becomes proper use of English to refer to large corporations as tec giants,

wikipedia likely has an obligation to avoid promoting the use of brand names

and spellings taken directly from brand names. eg. ISync

it should be noted here that it is common practice to deliberately deviate from canon spellings when generating brand names.

originally this may have been due to local laws against copyrighting words in common usage, and more recently for SEO considerations.
