This article was potentially down for deletion due to the lack of sources and difficulty with notability. Some searches by the AfD team have recovered some information but it would be good to have more. We know

- Miss Goulding was born in Yorkshire - Leeds probably - in 1897 but we lack a WP:RS / WP:V for that, as well as a precise date. There is some census data for Yorkshire covering her.

- On primary source only - a passenger shipping manifest for departure from the UK to Marseille in 1925, giving her age as 28 years old, apparently travelling with her father (61 years old, described as "County Accountant"). She is described as a University Lecturer. Address for both is Seacroft, Wellington Road, Bridlington.

- She married her soldier husband, registered at the British Consulate in Berne, Switzerland in 1931 - several RS on that.

- She died in April 1971 - RS and V is fine there. Place of death was Walmer, north of Dover, Kent. She took Mrs. West as her name from then.

- Her academic career from approximately 1914-1933 is as stated in the article, but it could do with some more RS facts.

Then from around 1933 it all goes rather quiet. Any further help, particularly after 1933 or so, perhaps triggered from the above or the article, would be appreciated. ChrysGalley (talk) 20:30, 2 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
