@Hongooi: I see you undid my edit without explanation. A quick check of Google Books & Google Scholar shows only sources talking about this in relation to California, so I don't see how a California-specific phenomenon is supposed to be globalized. If you have reliable sources discussing Superblooms elsewhere, great, let's see some... the only thing I saw in Scholar was discussion of algae blooms in waterways and the like, which is clearly a different topic. I'd be interested in seeing his rationale for adding the tag, especially considering he reverted me removal with a countervandalism tool with no explanation. I also note that he cut and pasted most of the contents of the article onto Desert bloom without attribution in violation of the copyright. Both of these pages should possibly be merged.
