General Information
[edit]During Vietnam Marine Corps enlisted troops served in-country for 13-months vice the 12-months typical for Army personnel. A common gripe was that if injured and hospitalized, the time spent "out of the field" did not apply to the 13-month in-country requirement. Exceptions always exist and there are variations here and there but if you read and/or talk to enough folks who were there to experience the complexity of that conflict it is, I believe, easier to comprehend some of what was thrust upon the masses of common folks who "obeyed the rules." I mention this because of what I read in the main article: ""thirteen months and fifteen days".Obbop (talk) 14:57, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
