President of Calm

[edit]

Not really that much into Wikipedia but I find it strange that the article makes no mention of his work for calm both as president and going on who wants to be a millionaire earning money for the charity ~2026-98490-1 (talk) 13:59, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

please provide some link to Calm (whatever it is. Do you mean Campaign Against Living Miserably or something else??) and preferably to reliable sources about Fry's role in it. Otherwise we cannot even begin to include it. Arnoutf (talk) 17:42, 13 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Polish language

[edit]

Why is Mr Fry fluent in Polish? Pronunciation is not so good but he understands and speaks Polish well. ~2026-22345-85 (talk) 04:34, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Could we see a source? This could be interesting. Nurken (talk) 22:13, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Undocumeneted voice over

[edit]

Today while i was looking for something completely unrelated i stumbled upon what i believe to be Stephen fry's voice in a youtube video from 2013 for the launch of Thinkspace, which i think is already niche thing in it's self the voice over is at the 2:39 minute mark to 2:59 the source is this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAeCvkelOvc i don't have a wiki account but my youtube account is @Golden-Trainer ~2026-51456-50 (talk) 18:48, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

To add this to the article we'd need a reliable source that establishes that it is Fry's voice. DonIago (talk) 20:12, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
it's said he was one of the supporters in the project being mentioned multiple timeshttps://www.cantonrep.com/story/special/2013/11/29/three-16-year-olds-are/41698883007/ https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/nov/29/thinkspace-pioneers-startups-mark-zuckerberg https://www.businessinsider.com/16-years-olds-thinkspace-pioneers-2013-11 he also shows up in this video for Thinkspace at the 37 second mark and and 2:39 minute mark further proving it and it would make sense for him to do the voice over https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyZHvrH2M78 ~2026-51456-50 (talk) 20:45, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
some more sources: extended talk from Stephen fry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c34opFTPiEk and something he said about Thinkspace at the 4:47 minute mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVX2JbYB4QQ ~2026-51456-50 (talk) 20:52, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
You don't seem to have provided anything that explicitly says that Fry provided the voiceover in the 2013 Thinkspace launch video, just that he supports it? DonIago (talk) 03:10, 25 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
i couldnt find anything else really or anything saying that he voiced it directly and i kinda doubt anyone even documented/made a list of credits for that event at all or if anyone else even documented anything about the launch event from 2013, it would be easier if he said his name in the recording or if the person mentioned it was him right after and in the video it does cut directly to that recording so im not really sure if it was said before hand theres also no description either for the video for what ever reason which doesn't really help my case and its not on the thinkspace channel either, but comparing the voices in the videos they do sound very similar so i wouldn't doubt it the only really way to know for sure would be to ask the people at the time associated with it or even currently and even maybe stephen fry himself though i don't know if that would even count, but i noticed outside of that theres really no mentions of him saying anything or even refrencing thinkspace outside of that time period and nobody really covered it for some reason fully, kind of just leaving the story about thinkspace behind and focusing on whatever else at the time ~2026-52519-82 (talk) 04:51, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
