Notability

This article was marked for not being very notable. This chip is only used on the Intellivision, so I can understand that, by itself, the chip is not that notable - eventually the information here might be added to the Intellivision article. On the other hand, it's a bit technical, and doesn't belong on a generic article about a console. Yet it would be shame if it was not preserved, as it is reasonably well referenced. 4throck (talk) 21:49, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

The STIC was a standard chip sold by GI to anyone that wanted it. That Mattel was the only one to do so (AFAIK) doesn't mean it should be part of that article. For instance, Atari's POKEY was only used in one product series, but it has its own article to include the details like those in this one. Maury Markowitz (talk) 14:01, 7 December 2025 (UTC)

The name
