This sounds like an interesting film, and having more material than many of the other articles on films of Indies during that era. I will start the review soon.--Dwaipayan (talk) 03:55, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
- Plotwise, certainly. *sigh* wish what footage does remain would be released to the public. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 03:58, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
- "Djoekri's son Joesoef (Mohammad Sani), however, leads a life of plenty" Do we need this however? Is it used to contrast with unfortunate life of Mochtar?
- Yes. "Meanwhile" could be used here too. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- "...takes him on in a battle" was it a duel (if info is available)?
- No info what kind of battle. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- "Tan, who had made his directorial debut in 1940, based the stories surrounding Zorro..." Why use "stories"? Did he use Zorro as inspiration for other films, too? That's not clear here I think.
- Cleaned up. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Do you think Zorro needs a small description?
- Sure, done. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- "Sources disagree on which version served as the inspiration. Biran (2009, p. 274) credits Son of Zorro (1947), while Kristanto (Filmindonesia.or.id, Srigala Item) credits The Mark of Zorro (1940)." But Sonf of Zorro is in 1947, so how can it be the inspiration?
- Did you note my hidden text there? I can remove that part of the note, if you want, but Biran does credit it without further comment (see preview here).nbsp;— Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- I did not notice the hidden text, but now I read it. An average reader won't read the hidden text, so perhaps better that you un-hide the text. Perhaps Biran thought about Don Q, Son of Zorro, the sequel to The Mark of Zoro.--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:52, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Possible... but he's not explicit. I'll just leave this as-is, I guess. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:56, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Batavia needs wikilink.--Dwaipayan (talk) 01:42, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Oops, forgot to mention it's Jakarta now. Done. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the comments so far. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- In my opinion, this article meets GA criteria.--Dwaipayan (talk) 13:46, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
