Voiced labiodental nasal

I was surprised to see [ɱ] written here as a contrasting phoneme. Wikipedia's own article on Voiced labiodental nasal lists only the Kukuya language where it contrasts it, and even there it may be [ɱʷ].

So I looked up the source: "Andersen, Torben. 2004. Jumjum phonology. Studies in African Linguistics 33". It seems Phoible has miswritten [n̪] for [ɱ], and then this Wikipedia article has copied Phoible's mistake. Jimydog000 (talk) 21:11, 17 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
