Purpose of this article

[edit]

Is this page about smocking, the embroidery technique, or "smocking" as a word? I don't think discussion of Trump's twitter typos, and the internet's reception of them, is appropriate, unless we are prepared to include in this article all possible uses and interpretations of the word "smocking". I am going to remove it unless anyone can justify its inclusion.  Preceding unsigned comment added by SK8RBOI (talkcontribs) 00:37, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

I would remove it, but I don't want to get involved in a content dispute. This article is about the concept of smocking, not the word smocking (this isn't Wiktionary). The tweet will be forgotten in a few weeks, anyway. HotdogPi 00:56, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
I was the one who originally added the mention and have subsequently removed it. MarkZusab (talk) 01:31, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
