Tvrdi grad

[edit]

This does not translate to Said Town (which makes no sense in English, anyway), but to Hard Castle, according to Google Translate. If anyone knows the correct translation, please fix. Thanks. Quis separabit? 15:50, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

You're quite correct, Said Town seems to be a bad automatic translation. I'm inclined to translate Tvrdi grad as Fortified Town, because, according to the literature, its meaning seems to be equated with that of castrum. While simply "fortress" or "castle" is perhaps a better, more literal translation, Novak avoided an everyday word (tvrđava, utvrda, dvorac, zamak), going for the slightly archaic tvrdi grad. Hard Castle would fit too, in fact, so I'm leaving the decision to you... GregorB (talk) 18:24, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
