Group property
[edit]Article states: The set of all Sheffer sequences is a group under the operation of umbral composition... I presume that this should really say "The set of all Sheffer sequences for a given Q is a group ...", right ? linas 23:44, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Fourier series
[edit]Are there any Fourier theorems for Sheffer sequences? If not, why not? When there's a shift operator, then there's usually some sort of fourier-type theorem as well, or so I'd think... linas 23:51, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
