Blank and redirect

[edit]

Hi, @Baratiiman. I'd like to know what your justification is for blanking this list article and converting it to a redirect. Thanks. – Primium (talk) 20:00, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Nice work. Possibly the models could be covered here rather than in a separate article for each. Happy editing!

Adding that I requested a technical page move of the UAV article to the page that is currently a redirect. ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 16:36, 10 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Shahed 238 redicrects to this same page. Giacoro2000 (talk) 10:43, 15 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Alpha Beta Delta Lambda (talk) 13:27, 15 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
I would like shared 238 to have a page on Wikipedia. I ask this because, if you click on the hyperlink of shahed238 on this page, it has no purpose since it redirects to the same page. Other shahed drones have a dedicated page. Giacoro2000 (talk) 04:50, 16 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

I request a simple spelling correction at Shahed_drones#Analysis.

Change "The supply of Iranian drones in addition to the targeted domestic weapons productins with Iran's assistance indicates, according to scholars, that this strategic relationship will have implications beyond this specific Ukraine conflict." to "The supply of Iranian drones in addition to the targeted domestic weapons production with Iran's assistance indicates, according to scholars, that this strategic relationship will have implications beyond this specific Ukraine conflict." ~2026-21660-55 (talk) 15:11, 14 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Requesting the split article Geran drones

[edit]

That at minimum, then also Geran-2, Geran-3 (these two are just redirects currently), Geran-4, and Geran-5.

Geran-5 is actually currently listed right here as supposedly one of "Shahed drones" without even any pretense of ever having been any Shahed (or other Iranian) version of it at all. It's also somehow there as a subsection of the article that at the same time doesn't even mention Geran-4. Just more nonsense from the strange pretending (on English Wikipedia but also in much of mass media) that Gerans are "Shaheds".

A separate Geran-1 article isn't needed as these were actually really just Shaheds (rebranded) and only used in relatively small numbers (hundreds) for a limited time window in 2022.

On the other hand, Geran-2 and Geran-3 got hugely upgraded by Russia, eventually only resembling the Shaheds by shape. And there are many other drone types of such shape (both these derived from Shadeds and Gerans and these that the Shaheds have had been derived from in the first place).

Geran-4 and Geran-5 have been designed in Russia to begin with and are extremely important weapons now in 2026 and yet they don't have English Wikipedia articles at all. Which is just like with Russia's by-far most numerous strike/wing drones (and now also FPV motherships), Molniya (drone) (later possibly split to Molniya-1 and Molniya-2), produced in millions and causing enormous damage and yet having no articles at all. (Many other Russian drone types in general also have no articles, as with their very common FPVs like VT-40 and so on.)

Also Gerbera (drone) is falsely, and just stupidly, described as a "simplified version of the Iranian Shahed-136" in the article's lead summary. There two drones have literally nothing to do with each other, which should be evident for everyone by just taking one quick glance at their pictures (or their technical details). Typical of the very unserious approach to the subject of Russian drones on this platform. ~2026-45482-86 (talk) 15:16, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Support split. Recent Geran variants have moved far beyond the original Shahed lineage, and lumping them all together just confuses the topic. At the very least, Geran-5 should have its own article given its completely different design. ~~~~ Superio2137 (talk) 10:07, 1 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
