Subject to my COI declarations, I'm requesting an edit to this article. I came to know few days ago that the subject has been awarded an honorary doctorate. Please find more at this post by Outlook Hindi. As such I propose the following sentence being added to the article: In 2023, Aalam was conferred with an honorary doctorate at the European University convocation in Colombo.^[1] @Toddy1, would you mind helping with this?
