Article claims this is on the rise and happening in Detroit and Ithaca. Seems very doubtful, and Detroit News and Yahoo News were both broken links, and archive.org is down so I didn't try it yet. Andre🚐04:38, 12 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I believe that there are reliable sources to prove that more local currencies were created following the Great Recession. However, I would agree that many of the cited examples used poor references or deadlinks, so I removed those. Zero Contradictions (talk) 15:16, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
