Does anyone know why Viz decided to translate "Sunadokei" as "Sand Chronicles"? Doesn't it mean "Hourglass"? Moocowsrule (talk) 03:26, 27 October 2008 (UTC)moocowsruleReply

As a complete phrase, it does mean "hourglass," but in its component parts it's literally "sand chronicle". Both meanings are used throughout the series, and I can only assume Viz's translators, having to chose one or the other, decided to point up the metaphoric uses. —Quasirandom (talk) 19:47, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
