Archery Connection?

I came across a company by the same name that manufactures Archery products, also out of Korea Their page: http://www.samicksports.com/ I'm not sure if it is the same company but if so, it might be worth mentioning. (216.188.254.212 (talk) 02:10, 17 May 2008 (UTC))

Fluff Piece or Accurate Work?

This is a fluff piece obviously written by Samick PR and should be heavily edited if not outright deleted. For example, Samick has NEVER made professional quality instruments, that's just an outright lie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.150.152 (talk) 10:55, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

OK. With respect to Samick NEVER making professional quality instruments: WTF? Fender Squire and Gibson Epiphone has been made by Samick for decades! Silvertones are made by Samick. And, of course, you know that Samick owns 32% of Steinway Pianos and 100% of Kohler and Campbell Pianos. Look, I'm NO FAN of Samick, but you have to know what you're talking about or you're not helping anyone by trolling. Why didn't you go get some citations and clean this up? Inaccurate

Cit: "In late 2009, Samick acquired a 16.5% share of Steinway & Sons. By November, 2010, Samick's share in Steinway increased to 32%[2] At present, Steinway production is at 4,000 pianos per month.[3]"

Steinway delivers around 3.000 to 4.000 pianos PER YEAR of the original "Steinway & Sons" brand, produced in the two fabrications in Queens, Long Island, New York - and Hamburg, Germany. The reference (3) says nothing about the amount of Steinway pianos. Steinway sells also Boston pianos as a Steinway brand, which are built by Kawai, Japan, and Essex pianos which are built by Pearl River, Guangdong, China. Both other brands designed by Steinway and produced to their specifications and sold by Steinway stores as second and third brands to the big Nbr. ONE one. Maybe (..) that the sum of all these pianso may amount to 4.000 per month - but I doubt this, and the reference doesn't proof this.

The whole Samick article would need much more attention by experienced editors. I am german, cannot watch all of this. But as the Samick comp. buys more and more Steinwway shares, Samick may become main share owner of Steinway which might change the piano world - as a general sign that asean companies begin to start conquering the music world. -- 84.190.236.171 (talk) 17:27, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
