The following text was removed from the article:
"Note on "rift": When I saw Sam speak in NYC, I think in the sixties, he gave mention of three different fans ending each mention with the words "until he was driven out of fandom by Donald A. Wollheim." The third repetition brought a general laugh from his audience.
But Sam was serious. "Its not funny!", he admonished.
