I noticed that one German source here refers to him as "Dr. Said Ramadan": http://islam.de/11062.php

I got curious about this because I have seen him referred to as a Dr. elsewhere:

Khan, Khizr Muazzam (1983). "Juristic Classification of Islamic Law". Houston Journal of International Law (6): 29. 16. Dr. Said Ramadan, Islamic Law.

Does anyone have information about if/when/where he received a doctorate? Or is there some other reason people are calling him Dr. ? Ranze (talk) 06:15, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

As many reliable sources confirm, such as this book, he received his PhD at the University of Cologne. Google is quite easy to use, and it took me less than 30 seconds to verify this. Cullen³²⁸ Let's discuss it 06:38, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
