Roy Gordon → Roy Gordon (Canadian chemist) – No indication that he stands out as a primary, both him and the other chemist of the same name both seem to be equal to each other and I wouldn’t say one is big enough (there does seem to be an actor with this name who has the most matches I can find on Wikipedia, but he has no page so don’t know how notable he is) Anyway, I would also change Roy Gordon (disambiguation) to be the primary Sirlink2222 (talk) 01:25, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Move to J. Roy Gordon per WP:NATURAL. That is how he is universally known in sources. Already redirects here anyway. Then move the dab page to Roy Gordon. Station1 (talk) 06:26, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Support the Canadian chemist has 53 views but the American chemist has 61 and Grainger has 20[]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:25, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Well going by views isn’t always the most accurate (sometimes I wonder if thee even counted as I did click on one a few times before and it still said zero) due to thinks like recentism or deaths or something. But yeah good point! As a note, the Roy Gordon I have found the most info on is an actor who isn’t e even Wikipedia! (Not sure how notable his roles were though) Sirlink2222 (talk) 17:33, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- SUpport, and move DAB to basename.--Ortizesp (talk) 15:47, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Might want to have a redirect for Roy Gordon (American chemist to go to Roy G. Gordon meanwhile (found at least one entry where it went to the wrong Roy Gordon and it was supposed to go to the American one.) Sirlink2222 (talk) 22:08, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- It's fine to have the redirects, but if the American is Roy G. Gordon, why should this one not be J. Roy Gordon as in sources? It's a good idea to have Roy Gordon be a dab page, since Roy G. Gordon is often known as simply Roy Gordon, and that will also help avoid bad links, but we should use a person's correct sourced name for the titles. Station1 (talk) 18:15, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
- @Station1that works as well Sirlink2222 (talk) 18:28, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
