list of splices

Any objection to deleting the list of splices now? I don't see how any of the splices will need their own articles since they'll probably never need more than a paragraph or two at the most. If they ever do need their own article, they could always be made and expanded later. For the same reason, I brought in the material from cunt splice and that could probably be deleted too. I'll at least get rid of the list article if no one has any good reasons not to. - Taxman ^Talk June 30, 2005 20:25 (UTC)

cable splicing

Stages of Splicing image

The first image on the page, claiming to illustrate the "stages of splicing" should probably just be removed. What it illustrates is various stages of one rope being unraveled, with or without lashing, and really just serves to confuse the reader.
