Capitalisation
[edit]Someone with a good working knowledge of Roman issues should review the capitalisation of this article. It seems that this article has a tendency to capitalise and bold anything official sounding. I removed the bolding, which is unnecessary regardless of the capitalisation, but I don't feel qualified at this point to go into the the capitalisation. -Rrius (talk) 16:57, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Someone needs to add some dates in this article, so the reader can grasp better the historical shifts. When was the period of the Roman Kingdom exactly? WHat centuries are we talking about? AND: "Eventually, most legislative powers were transferred to another assembly, the Plebeian Council ("Assembly of the Commoners"). Ultimately, it was the Plebeian Council that disrupted the balance between the senate, the legislative branch, and the executive branch.
Also I wish someone would contrast the functions of the Centuriate and Tribal assemblies better. I'm unclear as to overlap and legislative responsibilities.Lionheartedchick (talk) 00:22, 18 March 2010 (UTC)LC

Rewrite needed
[edit]Should be structured instead as talking about the assemblies (there are four + contiones), not the matrix of unmaintainable 1901–book-based subtopic articles that we have right now. Ifly6 (talk) 06:17, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- Pushed rewrite from User:Ifly6/Roman assemblies. The scary looking entry that says that there was a substantial reduction in the amount of text is overblown. A lot of the text is now transcluded via {{excerpt}}. This simplifies maintainability across these articles considerably and makes lede edits automatically propagate.
