Propose name change to Risepoint
[edit]Academic Partnerships has rebranded to Risepoint. The announcement was made May 1, 2024. Collegemeltdown2 (talk) 17:14, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
Request for article name change
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
My name is Emily Boldt, and I serve as the Public Affairs Manager at Risepoint. I’m overseeing our organization’s engagement with Wikipedia and will adhere to all applicable conflict-of-interest guidelines.
As the previous post on this Talk page from Collegemeltdown2 notes, Academic Partnerships rebranded to Risepoint in 2024, so nearly two years ago now. You can see news coverage of the initial announcement here.
Given the above, I am requesting that the article's name/title be changed to Risepoint. Is there anything more I need to do for this to happen? Emily at Risepoint (talk) 23:12, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Emily at Risepoint: - See below, Sophisticatedevening(talk) 00:32, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- I see that the requested name change has been implemented. Thank you for your help with this, Sophisticatedevening. Emily at Risepoint (talk) 15:41, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

Academic Partnerships → Risepoint – To reflect the company's 2024 rename, organizations are using the new name as seen in , . This appears to be the most common name for it and the article title should reflect that for WP:NCCORP. Sophisticatedevening(talk) 00:32, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- Support Seems unobjectionably, but just to note that it's virtually impossible to tell whether the new name has replaced the old name in common usage per WP:NAMECHANGES due to the generic nature of the old name. Robminchin (talk) 22:11, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Request to add infobox
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi, this is Emily Boldt again, the Public Affairs Manager at Risepoint. I'm wondering if editors would be willing to add an infobox to this article listing the normal company infobox details. I put together a rough version below:
Proposed infobox | ||||||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
I hope this is a straightforward request. Please do let me know if this is possible. Emily at Risepoint (talk) 13:06, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
Done Instead of having Risepoint's former name under founded, I used the specific template field. MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 13:37, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, User:MetalBreaksAndBends, thanks for adding the infobox! Now that it's in place, I was hoping to add the logo but it looks like I've not made enough edits yet to be able to upload it to Wikipedia (it's a copyrighted logo, which is why I can't upload it on Wikimedia Commons). Is that something you could help with? If not, I can come back to that later and make a request once I've been able to upload it. Emily at Risepoint (talk) 17:13, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
Request to update Business model section
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
Hi, this is Emily Boldt again, the Public Affairs Manager at Risepoint. Would it be possible to update the Business model section? Right now the content in this section is entirely unsourced and many of the claims are outdated and inaccurate.
I took a stab at drafting a revised version that includes numerous citations to recent news coverage about Risepoint (and Academic Partnerships previously), along with one citation to our recent Impact Report (to confirm operational details) and one citation to our Services page (to confirm our core service plans):
Proposed revision |

Operations and business model[edit]Risepoint specializes in helping educational institutions, especially regional public universities, launch new online programs and transition existing programs to online delivery.[4][5][6] Risepoint focuses on workforce-relevant online programs, such as nursing, education, and business, that are aimed at working adult learners.[6][7] The company offers revenue-share and fee-for-service models for its university partners.[8][9] As of 2024, Risepoint operates in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.[3] References

I changed the section heading to Operations and business model since the content now includes details about both. Please let me know what you think! Emily at Risepoint (talk) 12:57, 20 April 2026 (UTC)

[edit]- An Operations and business model section is redundant, as the lead and History sections already provide the reader with a basic understanding of what this organization offers. The existing Business model section has been deleted. If they wish to learn additional information about the company, there is a link to the company's website in the infobox.
