This page is far too technical, and is basically incomprehensible to a lay-person. It needs to be completely rewritten to be at a standard encyclopedia level of understanding. 132.203.24.74 (talk) 13:59, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

"NonLTR retrotransposons (such as the human L1 elements) are sometimes falsely referred to as retroposons."

Genes IX (Benjamin Lewis 2008, Jones and Bartlett publishers) classifies those, eg. L1, to be retroposons and being group named Lines long interspersed repeated sequences. (22.9 Retroposons fall into three classes, p. 562) — linnea (talk) 11:21, 28 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
