Motto

[edit]

Altered motto to more common spelling by those in the surrounding area. Also added for humorous effect.

I appreciate your comments here (and on my talk page), however, it's not a matter of the humorous motto being negative, it still stands as unencyclopedic trivia. I'm sure a lot of colleges have local nicknames ("Harvard by the Highway," "(Local High School) Grades 13-14," etc). Are there any reliable sources showing this motto is widely notable, and not just a local joke? Dayewalker (talk) 16:49, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Don't have a citation, but as a local I will chip in to say I also heard the derisive nickname "Cannae Reid, Don't Kerr" ("Can't Read, Don't Care"). It was a local joke, but, well, it was a local College. It had a poor reputation, people went to Reid Kerr if they didn't get good enough marks in High School to go to Uni, but wanted to remain in education (or in some cases were compelled to do so by the Job Centre). ~2025-30928-55 (talk) 10:02, 4 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
