Splitting proposal

[edit]

Would it be worth splitting this article into one about the painted lines kind of red route, and one about high accident rate kind of red route, as per WP:CONTENTSPLIT? The two kinds of red route are completely separate things. I think that both sections are notable, well-sourced, and (just) large enough to warrant an article of their own. I would support splitting the article into two articles along the lines of <painted lines kind of red route>, <high accident rate kind of red route>. Partially related to this, I rejigged the Transport for London red routes article, previously an article on the division of TfL which managed the red routes, and it became a much better fit for the list of actual red routes in London (which was previously contained in the painted lines section here).
What I did does not diminish the proposal for a split being suggested here, there are still 2 distinct unrelated sections in this article. UrbaniteMunicipalist (talk) 17:32, 2 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Support, the accident text would be a good fit as a UK section in accident blackspot. Belbury (talk) 11:25, 10 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
