There were two possibly helpful articles I traced but couldn't get a copy of--text not online and not at a library near me. They're both from the International Trombone Association (ITA) Journal:
An interview from July 1985 (Vol 13 no. 3)
An obit/remembrence from April 2001 (Vol 29 no. 2)
Are Ray's scores and papers archived or at least collected anywhere? There doesn't seem to be any evidence of that on the web as of March 2007
Suggestions for a Selected Discography (of both the performer and the compositions) would be welcome.
