Derivation of genus name
[edit]Unfortunately the genus' author, Greene, does not state the origin of the genus name (see http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/15254111 ). However the plant is endemic to Mt. Rainier and other high Cascades volcanoes, and thus was clearly named for the mountain, not for a long-dead British naval officer. OlyScientist (talk) 21:42, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
