Media to support style of play

[edit]

Hello! Having created this page, I am eager to improve the quality and breadth of Maltby's biography, especially as she begins to feature more in the media (as she did last season). With that being said, I am very aware of the fact that I would struggle to compose a well-structured or technical 'Style of play' section. If any editors feel they could confidently write or begin to draft this section, it would be much appreciated. In the meantime, I am going to collect references that I feel may be beneficial to whoever comes to write the style of play section so that there is a starting point for supporting references.

These are a few I have noted while referencing the rest of the article:
1) Segura to Maltby: six breakout stars from the Women’s Under-20 World Cup (the Guardian, 2026) - U-20 WWC performance inc. penalty form
2) Maltby: The Aston Villa teenager whose WSL breakthrough could solve one of the Lionesses' biggest problems (GOAL, 2025) - reference to transition from role as forward to left-back
3) Maltby's eye for goal (FIFA, 2026) - goal scoring form
4) Super League 2025-26 previews No 2: Aston Villa (the Guardian, 2025) - short section for Maltby but may be useful as an additional source of critical/public perception

I'm sure there are more, and almost certainly more to come this season: just leaving these here so there is a central place should they be useful, and for more to be added. Thanks :) Lidlpretzelfan (talk) 15:49, 17 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
