This not-a-botanist(!) just wants to thank you for this entry and its excellent clarity. Might there be a way Wiki would allow a brief entry paragraph written using fewer scientific classifications and terms to describe pine drops to a very average, curious reader? This is not, not specific to your entry, but to many of Wiki’s botany and other scientific entries. As a former teacher and current adult literacy volunteer, I believe a “common man” intro written for the many adult and kid readers still at a fourth and fifth grade reading level (sadly that group includes most American adults) could serve as a teaser tool to draw in folks to the knowledge available in Wikipedia. A brief opening offering up the coolest features of this utterly delightful plant in more everyday language would be helpful. Again, above all I wish to thank you for this and surely other Wiki entries! The depth and cites speak to your expertise and are the qualities that make Wiki my general knowledge resource. With awe and regards, One Hiker and Reader 135.134.207.108 (talk) 17:21, 12 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
