deleterious? maybe choose another word?

Within the very first paragraph of the article the word "deleterious" appears. This is a very uncommon word, and as much as I'm a fan of uncommon vocabulary, perhaps we should switch it out for one of its more common synonyms. Updating sources in “Approaches” section

I noticed that the “Approaches” section currently relies heavily on work by Niall McLaren, with several citations from publications that are now 15–20 years old.

To better reflect the current scientific consensus, I am considering updating this section using more recent review articles and meta-analyses. I want to ensure we are prioritizing up-to-date secondary literature.

If anyone has thoughts, specific source recommendations, or objections, I’d appreciate your feedback here before I start making edits.

I see what you're seeing: the first paragraph of the Approaches section is largely supported by McLaren's work. Some other perspectives, or even just papers by other authors, would improve the paragraph.

Just a thought: up-to-date studies are good; studies with correct methodology are best.

Since there is a separate "Diagnostics and evaluation" section, I think that Approaches should cover theoretical, research / research methodology sorts of "approaches". But who decides the proper approach to research into mental health disorders? I see the World Psychiatric Association (https://www.wpanet.org/wpa-research-initiatives/) and the American Psychiatric Association (https://www.psychiatry.org/about-apa/meet-our-organization/councils/research) issuing guidance on the direction of psychiatric research. The Journal of Graduate Medical Education has guidance on how to conduct and read literature reviews as well, literature reviews being the backbone of any academic research program (https://jgme.kglmeridian.com/page/jgme_literature_review_series).
